Validation
Validation is defined as confirmation by examination and
provision of objective evidence that the particular requirements for a specific
intended use are fulfilled.
Design validation should be performed to ensure that a
product conforms to defined user needs and requirements.
Various analytical methods can be used for evaluation of
design such as, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), FTA (Fault Tree
Analysis), Risk Assessment as well as inspection and test of prototype models or
samples.
Design validation follows successful design verification.
